World Polio Day was celebrated on 24th October, 2025 at DCB Girls College where Dr Rupanjali Phukan presented a talk on the significance of this day. She addressed the 95 NCC girl cadets/students of DCB Girls College who have a great responsibility as future mothers, and explained the importance of prevention of Polio. It was an interactive and enlightening session. Rotarians Dorothy G Momin, Dr. Minakshi Phookan Hazarika, and Rtn Ranjit Bordoloi were present on the occasion. Earlier, on October 12, 2025, marked as Pulse Polio Immunization Day,, Rtn Dr. Minakshi Phookan Hazarika had visited a polio booth in Bongal Pukhuri Centre to offer her kind help and moral support with her presence.
